We understand that information on a person’s demographics, health, health benefits and health services is private and sensitive, and you may have concerns surrounding the sharing of this information with us. Whether you are a consumer seeking health information or a healthcare provider seeking to benefit from Gensenta’s experience to enhance your specialty in meeting the needs of your patients, this privacy statement is intended to answer your questions related with privacy.

You will want to know how we use the information that you supply when registering with us as a website user or taking part in events on our website, and how we will use your information and protect it against unauthorized access or disclosure.

When combined with any piece of information concerning your health or medical condition (in accordance with the applicable law), the information so derived is called “health-related personal information.” If you are a healthcare professional or an institutional healthcare provider, it is your responsibility to obtain your patient’s approval and consent to the disclosure of their health-related personal information to Gensenta via our websites. By giving that information, you represent and warrant that you have obtained your patient’s consent to such disclosure.

Interactive Services. If you choose to opt in our interactive services, including surveys and other studies, you may disclose health-related information or personal information which may be used to identify you or your family members. Providers who use our matching services and quality of care assessments may choose to disclose information related to their practices and patients, which may be sensitive personal data. We do not ask or require you to disclose your personal identification information on these forums; however, we cannot prevent you from disclosing your private data, beyond cautioning you about your statements.

Correspondence with Gensenta. You can use our website for reporting issues or directing questions regarding our products to healthcare professionals designated for answering questions related with use of our products by consumers and healthcare professionals. When contacting or requesting information from Gensenta personnel, they will receive your e-mail address and your health-related and/or personal information, attached to your e-mail. When reporting product experience, you may be asked to provide private information, including patient’s initials, age, gender and prescribing physician’s name. The guidelines and regulations of Turkish Ministry of Health require us to collect identifiable patient information when submitting product safety reports to the General Directorate of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacy and its central units, committees and other organs within Turkish Ministry of Health.

Information Routinely Collected by Our Website Technology:

IP Address. When you visit our website, we capture your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. Your IP address alone cannot identify you, unless additional information is available; however, it helps us maintain contact with your device when browsing our website.

We may pool your health-related information with that of other users of our websites to create summary data to be used for our operational purposes, including research to improve products and analyses to support better promotion of our products.

Product Reports. When you contact Gensenta to share your experiences with using one of our products, we may use this information when submitting reports to Turkish Ministry of Health General Directorate of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacy and the centers, committees and units established under it, or for other purposes as required by law. We may also use this information to contact the prescribing physician to follow up on an adverse event involving the use of our product.

IP Address. We may use your IP address to customize the website content displayed, in addition to maintaining contact while browsing our website. We store your IP addresses with your personal identification information.

Cookies. We use the data collected through cookies to personalize your experience on our website by predicting the information and services which may be of interest to you. We also analyze the data collected via cookies to modify our services and content to improve the functionality of our website and meet customers’ requests, by monitoring visitor traffic on popular areas. We link the clicking data captured via cookies with personal identification information and health-related information that you choose to provide at another location on our website. III. Our Relations with Third Parties

We may use third parties to provide services or information on our website, and collaborate with others to offer cobranded services. Gensenta will disclose your personal identification information or health-related personal information only to Gensenta employees, group companies in and out of Türkiye and third party business partners, and no others. If Gensenta authorizes a third party contractor to access your personal identification information, such authorization will expressly exclude any permission to receive and use this information for any purposes not consistent with this Statement.

We do affirm that no personal identification information or health-related personal information you provide through our website will be shared or otherwise disclosed to any third parties absent your express consent, excluding the following cases:

Cookies. We will not allow other websites or third parties to use our cookies for their own purposes or to install their own cookies in your device when you access services through our websites.
Vendors and Suppliers. We work with various vendors and suppliers who assist us in designing and maintaining our systems and computer security, respond to e-mail and customer inquiries and develop specific promotions. We do not allow our vendors and suppliers use personally identifiable information for purposes unrelated with Gensenta’s operations.

IV. Our Children’s Policy

Gensenta’s website content and services are intended for adult users aged older than 13 years. Our websites are not designed to attract children’s interest. If we learn that a user under the age of 13 has volunteered personal or health-related information on our website, or that a provider has volunteered information about a patient who is identified as being under the age of 13, we will delete such information from our active databases in accordance with the deletion policy described in the section titled Your Privacy Preferences.

V. Your Privacy Preferences

Receiving E-mails. *Deletion Policy. The information you provide to Gensenta are stored on servers maintained and operated by Gensenta or third party contract service providers. Website users should be aware that it is not technically possible to remove each and every bit of information that they had provided to Gensenta. The necessity to backup our systems to protect information against inadvertent loss means that a copy of the information about you or your health-related interests may be stored in a non-erasable format, from which it may be impossible to recover it. However, after receiving your request, we do affirm that all of your personal and/or health-related personal data will be deleted from easily-searchable databases and storage media which are actively used for research and daily tasks. In addition, we will use commercially reasonable efforts not to disclose any personal information stored in a non-erasable format after receiving our request for removal, except as required by law. Gensenta may decline requests from consumers, which require alteration or deletion of information received from a healthcare professional or consumer concerning an adverse event.
Contacting Gensenta Via E-mail. Consumers and providers may use our website to contact our personnel for more information on our products or services. We offer interactive tools that allow consumers and healthcare professionals to send customized e-mail messages to request information on patients and treatments. Please mind the privacy limitations of such e-mail messages. We will not disclose any personal identification information that we receive via e-mail, but understand that all e-mail messages are prone to unauthorized access. Moreover, remember that e-mails sent or received using an employer’s computer or computer systems are not private, and may be legally considered to be a property of such employer.

We want the ensure the security of your and your patients’ personal information as far as reasonably possible. Our success in improving our products and services relies on your and your patients’ desire to share with Gensenta information on the personal health or care of you or your patient.

Data Security. We utilize encryption applications to help secure the integrity and privacy of the personal information or health-related personal information that you provide to us. As an additional security measure, all personal and/or health-related personal information are physically kept behind security walls that prevent access by unauthorized users. While we reasonably make our best efforts to protect personal and/or health-related personal information against loss, misuse or alteration by third parties, you should remember that there is always a risk of an unauthorized party intervening in transmissions on the internet or disrupting our security systems.

VII. Amendments to Our Privacy Statement

We will use your personal information only as explained in the Privacy Statement that was in force at the time the information was received from you. However, we reserve the right amend the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement at any time by posting revisions on our website. If we decide at some point to use personal identification information or health-related personal information in a different way from the one that was in force at the time the information had been collected, we will e-mail notifications to users whose e-mail addresses we have in our possession.
